Decided to come to work on the bike. Spent ages getting geared up and putting rainsuit on as metoffice forecast cats & dogs.
Was about a mile from home on york ring road completing an 'enthusiastic' overtake past 2 cars and a lorry... pulled back in and looked down to see this: ![]() The speedo needle is completely hanging down to the 6 o clock position. This image was taken with the engine running, on the sidestand in neutral. Indicators no longer work, but the headlight is still on and the 'pass' (flasher) button still works. If I redline the bike a few time the speedo needle kicks across to the 7 o clock position but then returns back to 6. The speedo needle has also been a bit bouncy ever since I got the bike - at around 100mph the needle will jump up to 110, then back down to 90, then back to 105, then back to 90 and 110 again & so on, stopping at each reading for a 2-3 seconds. The clocks were definitely working this morning because I overtook a doddering driver in 3rd gear at about 35-40mph and I looked down to see what the engine temperature was (45 degrees at that point) and about 4-5 thousand rpm.. Any ideas? Thinking fuse might have gone at the exact moment the needle was past 12 o clock position and as a result has dropped down the right hand side of the clock maybe?

Check charging is ok too as that can blow fuses.
