Default I just fell out of love with...

Squirrel

Not the Squirrel of this forum, but our beautiful little Jack Russell Squirrel.

He just came into the house looking all proud that he had got the toy and was parading it around in front of me. Then I realised he didn't have a toy. He had a wee ickle baby rabbit

It looked unhurt apart from blood on it's nose, but was dead. I am going to go bury it (very well) now but I've beem loving watching the babies playing in the garden in the mornings and evenings

I know....it's nature, I'm not sat here crying or anything, actually a little proud that our little man has it in him....rats beware. Just wish it hadn't been such a small baby rabbit. Didn't know we still had babies that small. Was still warm, the poor little thing.

Our dog is a killer! Beware at the AR!!!

Having seen Jasper (My Jack) take on my lads Staffy and win. It may be little dog syndrome accounting for most of their "Attitude". But they have been bred for a 1000 years to be killers, you cannot undo instinct

Make a fuss of him, tell him well done. and then take him to a barn full of rats.

Must find a link to the Martin Clunes vid of ratting Jacks.

Don't get me wrong guys n gals....I'm very proud of him really. He's a Jack, this is what they are supposed to do. We were actually starting to worry we might have a useless one as this is his first kill and he's 2!

Just rather it be rats to rabbits...lol.

Gonna put the rabbit up on the common at the front of the house for the crows to have. It'll be gone by the end of the day. They cut the hay a couple of days ago and the crows have been feasting on all the mangled mice so the baby rabbit will at least be food for something.

Haha, when Squirrel was 5 months old, he decided to take exception to a year old bullock. I was walking them with Rach, Dans sister. Squirrel decided to run up to this bullock, puff his chest out and do his best barks, shaking his head he was putting so much effort into it. Eventually, the bullock had enough and charged him. Squirrel turned and ran, tail between his legs and I heard Rach scream and run off down the hill...lol.

I charged the bullock clapping hands and scared the living sh!t out of it.

Rach thought we were going to die. There's a definite difference between a city upbringing and a country upbringing...lol
