Default bike cut out twice

I left work today on my SV1000 and went up a steep ramp out of the car park and over speed bumps on the way up. I usually go around these but people were stood where I usually go around to miss them. When I got to the top I went into 2nd gear and the bike died.

I restarted got 25 metres went to go into 2nd and it cut out again.

I started it again but this time it took a fair amount of throttle to start.

It was fine the rest of the way home. Looking at the miles I have done since las filling up my light is about to come on.

Do you think the steep slope and bumps just stopped the fuel from getting through or is this something to worry about?

i would of thought the sv1000 would of had more than enough power to crawl around in 2nd, did the bike cut out when you hit the bump? if so then it could be the kickstand came down a tad, which would turn the bike off if it is in gear. i have done this toooo many times

it sounds likes it was starved of fuel and going over the bumps made you pull the throttle enough to upset it

its FI, unlikley to happen to starve the motor of fuel due to the SDTV not allowing you to lean out the mixture too much
check the sidestand spring is not making the sidestand drop down after you come off the hump and it can cut out, somtimes you need to change the springs
also somtimes ive noted on several bikes that there is rare occasions when you change gear at low speed/rpm causing the bike to cut out
