ive seen that quite a few people get them, but is there any advantage of getting on or is it purely cosmetic??

thats what i thought originally but i have a small flap of plasticy rubber that hangs infront of the front plug area, not sure if thats standard or if crap still manages to wriggle its way in.

Buy a couple of alloy number plate bolts at the same time and use these to fit. Looks much nicer then the self tappers provided. Will post a pic when I get chance.

![]() Fender Extender stuck on with Evostik flexi bond stuff. Looks better than screwing it on and is really secure. A Fender Extender and some silicone grease around the HT lead will stop the front spark from getting water into it and cutting out. |

He did, and its still there after about three years and maybe 50k or so!
Still the same gaffer, in fact tiz the only thing that hasn't dropped off his bike ![]()

I think this is a benefit, at least on a non-black bike since the black fender extender still maintains the appearance of the short front mudguard, especially with black wheels.
I put mine on with button head stainless screws and nylocs - I have a bit of an aversion to self tappers and didn't trust the adhesive tape by itself. |
