Should I change the standard can to a Beowulf or not?
Just how loud are they with the baffle in comparison to the std one? I know there are vids on youface but they dont really give a very good idea. I leave home fairly early in the morning (7:15 ish) and dont want it to be too loud for obvious reasons. The std can seems pretty quiet - but not overly so. Cheers, David |

I'm planning on putting a Beowulf on mine over the winter. The one I heard sounded awesome and not excessively loud with the baffle in, baffle out was a different story. I guess how loud it is depends on how you ride it...

I have a delkevic 350mm can.
Without the baffle in it's a very boomy sound at idle and rolling along at 3krpm - VERY antisocial for early mornings. However with the baffle in it takes the edge off completely and I'd be perfectly happy leaving at 7:15 in the morning with it. It's not quiet though, but it really does take the edge off. |

I have an Art can with no baffles and stamped "Not for road use". It also pops and fires when cold. I asked my neighbour if it was too loud and he said no so I'm sticking with it. I guess it depends on how nice your neighbours are.

I'll probably pop along to the start point of the run just to meet a few people, wont be joining you for the whole run though.

Get new neighbours, or issue them with ear plugs!
Theres a nack to leaving for work early in the morning with either stubbied, debaffled, Art or Scorpion cans. More of a nack with twin M4s. But it is doable at 5am without complaint. (maybe my neighbours dare not complain) Beowulfs wouldn't wake em either. However it may stop your bike from wheelying, having to get rid of the excess weight off the rear end ![]()

I would go for it and get new cans, your neighbours will get used to the noise and come to like it
