I'm just curious whether or not optimate type intelligent chargers set off alarms when they're going through they're varying states of charge and also how they interract if said alarm has gone into sleep/winter mode.
Thanks. |

no they don't, the alarm would only go off if it detected a sudden total power loss, a smart charger won't deplete a battery that far even when running a complete cycle.

I think a lot of them do this to save the battery. Usually it's when the battery voltage is down to a certain level they'll switch off a sensor or two or even go into imobilise only.

Cheers for that. It's a new one on me, though. Shows how old my alarm is! As it happens I probably wouldn't buy another hi-tech one nowadays but that's a whole other debate.
