Default Scotoiler Dispenser Nib

I was just checking the bike over for Shropshire and I noticed my scotoiler dispensing nib was missing. It must have been ripped off by the chain.

Question I have is has anyone had any experience of using other materials. I am thinking of using microbore copper pipe instead of the black plastic.

Anyone tried?

What size hole is in the nib? I could turn one up in brass if you want one. Once we know the bore size just let me know what bore pipe it has to go in. No charge. Dave

Some model shops sell small brass pipe, couple of mm in diameter. I use it on all scotoiler installs these days.

What happens when the metal pipe gets munched? I'd stick with plastic just in case

You fit it right so it doesn't get munched, being rather rigid compared to some piddly bit of biro tube it stays put.

Luckily I have a micrometer in the Garage!

Outer bore is 3.15mm

Inner bore (hole size) is 1.65 mm

Use one of the little clamp things in kit onto paddock stand bobbin or spindle to aim the pipe at the rear sprocket (or even rubbing on it a bit)

Exactly how I have it set up now, but with plastic pipe. So hopefully the copper pipe is a straight swap
