Default Bike still not starting - help!

I thought i would start ANOTHER thread for this as i always get lost asking for advice in a thread ive made about something else thats different!

http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=166153

Ok thread above shows the advice i was given at the beginning before starting her up.

Things i know i need to check......

Does it send fuel down the hose to the throttle bodies?
Are the throttle bodies clogged? (can they be cleaned?)
Do the spark plugs 'blue' spark?
Is the immobiliser/alarm fookt?
Is the ECM fookt (i hope not)

The bike makes all the right sounds, when you press the starter motor it 'turns' over ..... it's just not kicking in!
ps when the bike turns over and i turn the throttle slightly the engine turns over quicker when trying to start, not sure what that proves!

A couple of other things, an immobiliser is fitted but seems to be doing the right things. When i first cranked it over from the thread above i removed the plugs from the cylinder heads along with the Caps/leads. I cranked it over without having the spark plugs in the leads and i did not disconnect the coils....... have i made a *rse of it?

The fuel pump primes and all the safety switches are working ..... beyond this i think its time to chuck it in a 'proper' garage

Check the spark. If this is Ok check the plugs are wet. If the plugs spark, you are getting fuel and they fire at the correct time the bike WILL run.

So if you have not messed about with the cam or ignition timing it seems either you dont have a spark or you dont have fuel being injected. This is the basic before going chasing immobilisers, coils etc. The crankshaft position sensors can give weird problems. I am talking about bikes generally as I dont have first hand experience with a pointy. Best of luck, approach in a logical way and you wont go round in circles.

remember, this engines had a rebuild. the timing was checked multiple times to make sure. and it turns over fine with no odd sounds.

When you disturb alarms they can misbehave and stop it from firing up. No need for an entire new loom, just a person who knows how to chop it out, and re solder the wire correctly back into the loom. Then launch the damn thing up the garden.
