Default Moving radiator forward?

Hi all

Trying to change spark plugs on my curvy and have to move the radiator forward to get access to the front spark plug. I've taken the bottom bolt out of the radiator as it says to do in haynes but the radiator won't budge. Can't see anywhere else that its connected to though :/ Is it a case of just force it or am I missing something?

Cheers

Yep, doesn't move far, just wedge it open with a suitably sized piece of wood

Hoses flex a bit more if they're warm, so do it a little bit after a ride, but not so that the engine is hot that you burn yourself

My memory is vague, but have you taken the fairing bolts out as well? If I'm right the side fairing are held by the radiator.

Take the horn off as well, you might damage the rad against it.

No haven't removed the fairing, that could be why.

Horn's off, not that the rad could be any more damaged!

You don't need to remove it completely.

Undo the side and top bolts on the side fairing, it's pushed into a rubber holder in the radiator as well. Pull it out gently.

Hope I'm making some sort of sense

The fairing sidepanels are connected by stubs into rubber bungs on the radiator.

Still won't help that much, unless I'd forgotten to do what Sid said, the last time I changed the front plug

Right got it far enough forward to get the old spark plug out (just)... never realised how bloody awkward it was to do, dont plan on doing this again for a while -__-

Half way there, now to get new ones back in...
