Can I fine tune replacement engine to old carbs? - SV650.org

Morning all,

I've put a replacement engine in my K2, but used the old carbs. It doesn't seem to be running as smooth as I remember the original engine and wondered if there was anything I could fine tune to improve performance. I wonder if part of it is going from a K9 with fuel injection (now stolen) back to the carb model.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

make sure the jets haven't got gummed up (if it's been over three months) check the diaphrams, make sure the choke plungers are working correctly and balance the carbs, not alot else to do really.
