Default SV braking part 2

A follow on from the other thread. I am about to bolt a set of 4 pot GSXR calipers onto my SV, which has braided lines. I intend to keep the SV master cylinder, but was wondering how much this will improve things overall.

Obviously the calipers will be better, but how well will they work with the SV master cylinder?

Obviously anyone who has actually done this mod please help!

Did you fit yours with the adapter plates?

Or with a front end swap?

Front end swap. No more fork dive going in to corners

Why did you keep the SV master cylinder if you did the full front end swap?

Reason I ask is because I have SV forks with emulators so I want everything kept SV as much as I can,

I actually had the gsxr m/c ready to fit, but i was worried it was going to be too much, so tried them with the sv m/c and didnt see the need for the gsxr one.

Sold it to bibio so he is the man to ask

Nothing wrong with SV master cylinder. Or calipers for that matter.

I would rather buy brembo MC and keep stock calipers than use plates, especially SVRP ones just on principal of it. Get TWF plates if you can find any.

I fitted ebc HH pads to my curvy last week and together with the braided lines I think their awesome stoppers, is gsxr callipers really that much better?

General consensus is yes they are much better.

I agree yes the SV brakes are fine. However my issue is when I load the bike up with all the Givi stuff. (You remeber my bike leaving when you called in at the ARTNW) It is a lot of stuff on the little SV and the braking becomes a little hairy when fully loaded.

I have been in touch with Zoran at TWF, but his plates appear to be like hen's teeth.
