Smile Greetings from a Newbie

Hi,
I'm relatively new to biking. I've currently got a 125cc Monkeybike for a bit of summer fun and it is something that I've wanted since I was a boy. I've not gotten used to the power ( lack of ) and speed ( 65MPH max ) and want to get a proper bike. After a long search I've settled on an the SV.
I love v-twins and they sound the Balls! The fours sound like angry wasps and in my opinion sound a little soul-less. So for that reason I want to get a SV650 naked. Can anyone give a newbie any helpful hints and tips about getting one? Stuff like what to look out for and any potential weaknesses would be grand! I am in Hampshire.
Hope all of you are cool and I'm sure I will be picking your brains about mods/servicing and a general chat. Thanks in advance.

Supa

Firstly welcome and you've made the right choice.
Secondly you are not too far away from me.
Finally, shameless plug, look here http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=169774 for your next Bike, available now, with discount for orgers. And now you are one you can have a discount.

Welcome to the .org!

If I were you, I'd offer him £2,500 for that bike. It's worth £2,700 all day long, but I think he wants it gone so he can get a new toy

EDIT: (and I think he was looking for a Monkey Bike for a laugh...so maybes there's some p/x action to be had?)

Hello welcome to the fun,

SV is a great first bike, but it won't be long till everyone is fighting about which shape and colour are the best for you...
