Default Christmas Supercar Build

First off job was to build the gearbox. Only 4 gears:

Next - chassis build

Gearbox mated to the chassis rails.

Close up of the gearbox. Oil retention is going to be an issue. Maybe it's a dry sump set up.

Next up I worked on the rear differential and rear suspension module. It was easier to do this off the car and offer up afterwards.

Different view - now with track rods attached

Rear diff and suspension module errr...bolted on

Other angle. Suspension not yet connected to the top mounts

Suspension now mounted and back wheels on - now dropped off the axle stands

Active aerodynamics (motorised rear spoiler) setup. Sorry about the poor picture. It was getting dark

Racing bucket seats added. Minimal padding, but more comfortable than they look

Front suspension module and steering rack next. Note that there are double wishbones all round.

Attached to chassis rails. Nearly got a full rolling chassis now.

Next job - the powerplant. V8. Went together well. Haven't compresion checked it yet though - fingers crossed.

Underside showing the crank and con rods.

V8 installed.

Full rolling chassis completed

Front bumper assembly errr....assembled

Dashboard and steering wheel installed.

Right side dihedral door installed

Door in open position

All the other panels bolted on

Headlights wired up

Rear light clusters installed and wired up. Better shot of the active aero

Bonnet up.

Hope you enjoyed the build

Scoobs, nice build, not sure about the panel gaps, look poor tbh.

Pistons go up down when you push it..!

It has got an onboard power pack so the rear spoiler , bonnet and doors are all powered.

I applaud the effort and engineering Scoobs but while it was in the build stage would it not have made sense to make it a right hand drive for our British roads???
