Simple question:

Also i want them to be a bit stiffer what weight of oil do people recommend?

I gather 489cc is the same as 489ml?

one cc is a cubic centimeter (1cm x 1cm x 1cm)
one litre is a cubic decametre (10cm x 10cm x 10cm) or 1000 cc
one ml is one mililitre or 1/1000 of a litre or 1cc!

So yes, they are the same.

I did have to google for sure though

Just seem to dive loads under braking, previous owner has raised the forks thru the yokes by 10mm or so, so mudguard bashes the front fairing under emergency braking conditions I don't want a huge difference just something a little firmer.
