get DL650 NOT DL1000. DL650 kit comes with all the fittings as they are not a fatory fitted option. DL1000 comes with just the guards as the modified bolts and pivots are already on the bike from standard.

Note:-
1. You will need to get your bar weights off
2. You will need to replace the pivot bolts in your levers so if you've got cheepie Chinese bling levers you may have some challenges there
3. Can't remember if you are curvy or pointy but if curvy up will have to shift the left hand switch gear slightly as it may foul the choke lever.

ref. point 2, If the pivots are not compatible with blingtastic levers it's not the end of the world as you can just Mcguiver up something as it's not stress bearing and so long as it doesn't ge tin the way it'll be fine. My left hand one is cable-tied to the mirror stem!

Mine will be going back on in a month or so so happy for you to come round and copy me while I do mine.

That is very helpfull. Getting the bar ends off is going to be the hardest part imo. They are pretty much fused in place. Soldering iron or heat gun methinks? probably Loctite.

Get working on those bar ends in advance then as they will need to come out. May be worth considering some heated grips at the same time if you are serious about riding the winter season.

DO NOT COMPELTELY UNDO THE BOLT that holds the bar end on otherwise the nut will fall off the end and you're buggered although if they still don't come off you will just have a new rattle.

I think the curvy doesn't have the nut/rubber bung combo. I'm fairly sure there is a metal plate in the handlebar that the bar end screws into directly. This is why curvy bar ends never come out, because they're corroded to buggery and screwed in directly.

Or you could nip into Costa and ask for a nice big mug full of "man the F*CK up"

But seriously Mark is right, to save effort, a small bodge here and there is no drama, as long as they don't fall off who cares what they look like as long as they work!

Wait, what am I saying, I forgot tis all bout da bling innit!
