Today i will mostly be fitting an R&G Tail tidy and a Powertech exhaust.
I really should not be taking cash cards into events like the Bike Show when working ![]() I'll put up a few pics of the show and the mods later. |

Very nice. Amazing how much difference a tail tidy makes. Nice exhaust to. You have anymore plans?

I have a good few plans yet but I have to check my spending. I picked up a new shoei Neotec lid at the show, cost £330 but that's loads better than the £470 odd at J&S. SWMBO didn’t mind toooooo much but I have a feeling if I get more bits soon I’ll be well in the dog house.
The R&G was a really nice, good fit and I'm really pleased with it. It took a few mins of looking and test fitting to work out which way the plates fitted but i got there in the end. I forgot to pull the insulation up the number plate wires though so when I started the bike I promptly blew the 30 amp fuse! I called myself a few names for being a prat and doing that but at least it blew on the drive and not on the road. |

I paid £55 quid at the show for it but I was wearing exhibitor badges etc and the lady did say that was cheaper than normal although I wasn't sure if it was or not. On their site it seems to be £74 quid delivered.

Me neither Scotty.
As for fitting it there wasn't really any problems at all. erm possible bits that took more than a few seconds thinking about were ....... - The plastic pin clips on the fairing. push the centre in to take them out. pull the centre pin back through and out the front then put them back in (then push the centre ini to lock). That took a minute or two to work out and will make sense when you look at them. - I never worked out how to take either side of the cowl off so took it off in one bit by sort of pulled it back and twisted it off. - The tidy doesn't bolt to the frame there are a pair of plates that bolt to the subframe first. The long bits of the thread on these two plates point down and after knowing that they can only be bolted on one way and will only fit on the correct side. - The undertray, after unbolting the back two bolts and unclipping it from the frame at that point it took a bit of a push down to unclip further along to then remove the original sail mudgaurds final two bolts. All and all pretty easy though |
