Stick with the iphone or spend however long you're lumbered with the Samsung for wishing you'd have kept it.

The samsung does not run like the iphone at all. It has so many glitches and problems. It STILL tells me I have text messages when I don't (until I clear the RAM).

The autocorrect is useless.

The switching between apps/home pages lags and can jump with all sorts of problems.

Most of the app support is poo also.

The only upsides are the screen is awesome, and errm, the screen is awesome?

I could go on, and on, and on - but seriously, as soon as I can, I'll get back to Apple

Oh and p.s the battery life is worse than the iphone 4/4s and 5. Even with all the settings turned right down.

You must have got a lemon! Had 20+ hours of battery life, and I truly multitask without issue. But do try out a friends before you buy. Always going to be apple vs android debates. My IP was terrible in almost every way except I guess the little it did, it did pretty well. Touchscreen would glitch about a cm to the right requiring a reboot sometimes. Switched it, was fine. Battery gets weaker and weaker and you cant swap it without voiding your warranty and break out the soldering iron.. Whatever you get make damn sure!

I used to have the iPhone 3gs. Now got a HTC Desire HD which I love. I'm due an upgrade in July so I'm currently looking at either the S3 or Note 2.

The S4 should be due for release the next 2-4 months, so i'd hold fire and wait a couple of months.

I used to love my iPhone, but after moving to android, I won't be going back - I still have my iPad2 which I plan to replace with a nexus 10 at some point in the near future. I've rooted and installed a jellybean rom on my desire. This in itself (in my eyes) makes buying an android based device better than an apple device.

I'm leaning towards the note when I upgrade, but I'm not sure how I'd cope with the sheer size of it (like sticking it in my pocket).

I saw a note in a shop the other day and it is HUGE!

If you can live with the size though, get it as it bridges the gap between phone and tablet.

My next phone will be a Nexus 4 though, currently on back order with Google.

EssexDave, the Samsung Keyboard isn't the best, download Swiftkey, it's awesome!

If you have problems with the SMS app, download another. That's the beauty of Android

it's all about battery life for me as it stands and the iphone comes out best in my view. with contracts being so ridiculously long now (typically 2 years!!). if the battery only lasts 1 day now what's it going to be like in near enough 2 years?!?! it'll probably only last about 20 minutes!

Well at least if you buy a Samsung you can change the battery for a fiver.

Had my S2 for nearly 2 years now, battery was never great but it's capacity hasn't reduced in that time.
