Default Someone swap my tank/panels!? (Female ORG'ers)

I bought my SV from a female who had a partner who was an enthusiast with a paintbrush. Did a quality job of painting the bike a custom blue, which kinda glitters/sparkles in the light.
Also decided to put a fancy pattern in the tank.
I'm after black panels and tank ideally, and I don't just want to buy some new ones because I'm skint and someone out there must love this custom paint job.
Anyway enough chatter, look at the photos.

you sure that's paint ? looks like a lacquered decal to me, as if airbrushed it would have shading or at least I would have expected it to have? I can see your point though, bit "pearlescant" of me, perhaps a full re-spray would be cheaper than panels ?

Cheers Mark.

Yeh respect is my other option. There's someone down the road that'll do it but it seems a waste to go over this paint job.

The blue was a slightly translucent which was sprayed over a silver base coat giving it a really nice sparkle or whatever. The white was hand painted ontop and the all lacquered over. I'll get a close up of the pattern later

I think it looks good... It makes your bike that little bit different.

Not many female orgers with SVs really Lew.

Besides, if I see it about, I know who it belongs to and its a lovely paint job

Get yourself a baglux tank cover. Cheaper than a respray.

That is an extremely good idea!

Do you not have to acknowledge a change of colour to the DVla anyway?

At least with a baglux its protecting that lovely paint, whilst hiding it being a girls bike Then when it comes to resale it can be a positive attribute again.
