Okay, so Ive had my trusty AGV K3 for quite some time now and could really do with a new lid as ive bought a new bike also.
Anyone's opinions are welcome and looking at spending around the £350-400 mark. Looking for something that will be light, comfortable and more summer focused than all year round as my majority of riding is done in nice weather. |

I've never seen one in real life, let alone worn one, but I've already decided that my next lid will be a Nexx XR1R - currently a toss up between the Carbon and Cafe Racer models. Reviews say they're really comfy, with good ventilation and are just about the lightest full-face out there

Shoei xr1100
Great fit and quality, good venting too. Good enough to keep my brow becoming too saturated in a Melbourne summer. Had an agv ti-tech before that and the shoei is a much better bit of kit. |

HJC R-PHA same as Ben spies £300 + helmet but with different graphics can be had for £150!!! It's even lighter than my old carbon fibre helmet. 100 times better than my aria rx 7. Lighter easier to change visor and no stupid whistling noise from the pod covers. I wouldn't change my HJC for anything else.

Try on as many helmets as you can and then choose the one that fits the best

This is the most important thing by far! No point in buying a super high spec, high price helmet if it does not suit your head shape - a cheap one that fits better would probably be safer. Go to a large store and try on various brands and models and make a shortlist of what suits you. Then go and read some reviews on your shortlisted helmets before you make your final choice.

I'm heading down to my local to try some on the weekend when I pick my bike up.
Heard a lot about the hjc for lightness so will def look into those plus the shoei's and sharks. |

I have a HJC R-PHA 10 it's only 1050g much lighter than any carbon helmet I've seen, super comfy great air flow and well within budget @ around £199.

I have an XR1R Carbon and an AGV Ti-Tech the XR1R is a better helmet they have a similar head fit. I also tried the HJC Carbon and the Bell Carbon the Nexx helmet is better than those as well.
