My 06 SV650s has now 26,000mls on the clock and i bought it at 22,000. I was riding up the motorway in quite heavy rain yesterday when suddenly the bike started losing power and then having a surge of power all of a sudden. Anyone know what the cause of this is likely to be? Sparkplugs getting wet perhaps?
Also, im not sure when the bike was last given a proper service, if i were to take it to the dealers for a proper good service what all would be included? I just want everything 100%. I.e oil, filters, sparkplugs etc. Thanks in advance ![]() |

wet front spark plug would be my guess. have you got a fender extender fitted to the front mudguard?
if not get one fitted in the mean time, take plug cap off and spray some wd40 or similar down the hole. make sure the drain hole on the right hand side of the cylinder is clear too. replace plug cap and smear some silicon grease or vasaline around the top of the plug cap to make a good waterproof seal
