Alright lads and lasses, hope you're all doing well.
A friend from work has a cbf 600 sat in his garage in Portugal and has struggled to sell it and is now wanting to transport it to the UK. We've discussed various methods of doing this, and come up with 2 options. #1 Ride the bike from Portugal to France, and get the bike to London via the channel tunnel. #2 Use a freight company to transport it via ship straight to the UK. Has anyone had any similar situations with any advice? Any companies to recommend? All help appreciated ![]() |

1) I'd be prepared to shell out for new tyre or tyres but enjoy the ride..
2) I'd not trust a freight company to look after it So.. Roadtrip!

The answer is obvious really. Ride it back to the UK. Full service first. Breakdown cover. And avoid motorways so you have more fun!
This 'chore' is really a holiday in disguise! |

If it were my bike I would definitely ride it back.
Don't know if it works out cheaper or not, but definitely more fun. Plus, you don't have the added worry of a third party being heavy handed / careless with your bike. |

http://www.htcartransport.com/index.htm Also it depends on where in portugal. If its north he could ride it to Santander in Spain and take a ferry to Portsmouth It depends on how much he wants to ride it, if he doesn't maybe is worth it selling it cheap because riding it is going to be expensive |
