What would people recommend HH or GG on the SV?
Don't really know the difference and the search feature doesn't like HH, GG or pads... J

to answer the first question; really personal preference it's all to do with "feel".
the second question, the main difference is "bite", HH are more sharp or tight, where as GG have a more progresive application, they both have advantages, the HH pads tend to give a more immediate and pronounced effect ( and in some cases increased disc wear) if you're throwing the bike around twisties, but the GG's are easier for fine control in wet and general conditions, so what are you going to use the bike for ? and what style of riding suits you ? As to the third question, the search engine will not handle anything below 4 letters long. Cheers Mark.

Slight detraction but relatively on topic...
From my old MTB days, there were two types of pads, organic and sintered, is this the same on motorbikes? And if so is that what the HH and GG are? when i was doing downhill mtb i went for sintered as they took the heat better (kinda like a REALLY poor mans carbon brakes)

On a basic level you have the gist of it.
GG on the front means heman hand power . Bit more hear http://www.wemoto.com/info/brake_pads_gg_or_hh/

I was talked into putting more expensive HH pads on the front by the bike shop but I can't tell much difference.
TBH I've never felt like the SV (or most other bikes I've ridden) need any more braking power on the road - I always feel like the front tyre will lose grip before you run out of brakes, and I practice hard stops fairly often. I also think you quickly get used to a slight change in pad characteristics and adapt your style accordingly, but that's just my humble opinion.

Well I'm switching from GG to HH front and rear over the weekend, so I'll let you know what it feels like!
