Good afternoon,
I am thinking of getting a sat nav mount for my bike and trying to keep the cost minimul at the same time have something reliable which doesn't always work. What you pay is what you get. So anyways, I am thinking of getting the stem mount which goes inside the whole of the yoke where the yoke nut is . In order to buy one of below which is £30 , I also need to change my nut to something that has open end or hole in the middle just then being able to insert the mount in there. Does anyone know what is the nut specs in terms of picth length etc . All I know it needs 32mm socket to open . Have found some on ebay for £21 but they seem very expensive or maybe that is the usual. it is in my view for a simple nut which would cost £1 to produce sat nav I am thinking of getting http://www.amazon.co.uk/Centre-Fork-...s=stem+sat+nav the nut http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/EVOTECH-AL...item257d831122 is it an M24 with spanner size of 32mm if so I can probably buy the gsxr ones which are cheaper. I am just searching by sv650 name hence maybe the gsxr and sv are the same but different price Last edited by stranger12; 09-09-13 at 04:11 PM. |

How about one of these?
velcro's to the top yoke & has a visor to help with seeing the sat nav. Its been reduced in price since I bought one for bannanaman, £9.99 is a bargain Not nut required http://www.hein-gericke.co.uk/motorc...ps-tasche.html

the bag is velcro's stripe ? maybe that is not very reliable and not worth risking my iphone on it
I know there are also magnetic bags around but again at 100 miles or more or even below that if they come off I am screwed |

If you are thinking of using your iPhone, there are cases out there that will protect the phone and have mounts available, I got a lifeproof case for my 5 and am considering getting the bike mount for it, it clips to the handle bar and holds the phone firmly in place in its waterproof case. Just need to work out how to make it fit as my bars are a bit crowded!

Have a look at the biologic iPhone handle bar case, I've got one and for the most part it's cracking, In very bright sunlight it can be a bit hard too see but that's about it.
Here's a video(not me) and some pictures of mine. http://youtu.be/3iV4Cu7PLd8 ![]() ![]() Sent via Crayola using the black crayon. |

Spend the money on a decent mount for you Iphone or get a cheap sat nav and then you won't worry about losing it so much?
