Quite a few people have them on the abr site, seen a few off road on abr rallies too.

They are big thumpers, so gonna be vibey, not particularly powerful either, around 48hp ish.

I'm thinking of it because if I enjoy Spain I'd like to get into a bit of off-roading, but I can't justify having two bikes - It seems almost like the SV of the enduro class in that it'll be good for commuting, good off-road and ok on rideouts if I want to go - You know I'm not one of these who blasts off ahead too much.

Also good for touring which seems to be what I end up doing most.

Had an older version for two weeks in Tenerife last year. It was fine on and off road. Plenty of poke. I would never buy one with my own money cos...

I would be after one of these instead though. 22 or 23 litre tank. "No substitute for cubes" That gives you some serious range. And won't fall to bits as quick as the BM and be a heck of a lot cheaper to run.

Yep, xt660 is a much better bike IMO, the tenere might be too big for you Tom but the xtr would be ok.
