Has anyone else had a problem with the one of the top two radiator bolts shearing (on SV650S K3?
I have no idea how long it has been sheared, but seem to be held on quite well (with the remaining length of bolt). The bike has never been in an accident and the radiator hasn't been hit (always had the full fairing). Has anyone else had this problem, or have any idea what would have caused it? Yeah i know its prob a noob question, but i'm not very technical, but learning fast. Any input would be much appreciated. P.S. would something like that be covered under the warranty? |

Hello Mr Sponge
Would that be the bolt on the left hand side ![]() On my bike (K4) it's actually a lug, which the radiator clips over, and is then held in place by one bolt on the other side of the bike. If the K3's are the same then you don't have a problem ![]() |

Yeah, i crashed my k4 and assumed i'd broken the bolt off, but i realised it was just a lug. Didn't realise i'd also sheared the bit that connected the lug and radiator off though. It's now held on with araldite and a metal circlet, it's perfect, though the circlet makes a sound as it vibrates at high revs.
