Default factory presets

Hi,

Please can somebody tell me the factory presets for a gsxr 750 front end please?

I can find guides on how to set it up but not the factory presets.

cheers

I presume you're after pre-load, rebound and compression damping settings for a set of GSXR 750 front forks. Perhaps the air-gap and fork oil weight too if you're replacing the oil?

If so, can you let people know exactly what year you have as it will be different for every model of GSXR. If no one is able to answer you, then you may want to set everything in the middle of it's range and change one aspect at a time until you find the settings that suit you best.

the front end is off an earlier gsxr pre 2001 from what I can tell. Its been a bit weird handling it feels bouncy.

Without knowing the year of bike the forks came from you won't be able to honestly get settings that are factory standard. If these forks have done ~8,000 miles or more since they last had their fork oil changed, then the oil may well have degraded. At this point twiddling all the adjusters can help, but not restore them to their former glory.

Find out what year of forks you have and then you should be able to google or torrent for a manual with all the correct specs.

If you've not got any other way try putting some good pictures up of the forks, yokes, and brakes and people may be able to tell you what you've got.

Ah fantastic, for some bizarre reason my preload is set on 7 rings down ?

I'm not even sure what the preload etc is but il give it a go and see what happens
