Maybe a ,,very stupid'' question...
Is it possible to use the front suspension of the pointy SV1000S on a pointy SV650S? If possible; would be a nice swap. Better brakes hé... Here are the specs: SV1000S Fully adjustable front forks with 46mm inner tubes. Telescopic, coil spring, oil damped Powerful 4-piston front brake calipers with 310mm floating discs. 17 inch aluminium alloy wheels with 120/70ZR17 front (58W) SV650S Telescopic, coil spring, oil damped Front tyre 120/60 ZR17 (55W) Front brakes 2-piston calipers with 290mm discs. |

Why not just do the tried and tested GSXR front end?

For what it's worth, I doubt you could find an SVthou front end any cheaper than a GSXR front end.

Having said that I might be sticking an SV1000 front end on mine. Costing me nothing though. I'm kind off getting bored with the USD ![]() One thing going for the SV1000 forks is that it's longer than the GSXR forks but the fork offset is smaller than my Curvy(not ideal ![]() If and when I decided to do it I would be using the forks in GSXR yokes or get a set of yokes made to my spec. Cheers Ben Edit: The complete front end would bolt straight on . |
