So I pull up at the lights on Holloway Road central London and a silver pointy pulls up next to me. We nod and I admire his twin exhaust system. Then I notice that the bottom of his licence plate is covered by silver masking tape! It was made to look like the plate had fallen off and he had just stuck it back to the frame and seat - perhaps just to get him home err officer!
I tell him his number is covered and he gives me a cheeky grin and wink! Lights change and off he blasts. Is this common? Anyone else see this before (Or do you do it?) I've just gained a nip myself the other week and with the lack of plod about versus cameras I can see it would be tempting. Whats the score legally? Would you get just a fine? Or points as well? If you would only likely get a fine would it not be worth it? Certainly this dude thinks so. What do you guys think? Sean. |
