Default Value my bike.

Need to put a value figure on my court papers.

It's an 05 plate bought new in March, FSH (even tyre changes), crashed RHS resprayed, no original can and 20,000 miles.

Had a look on sale sites but can't find a 05 bike with such high mileage.

Thanks in advance.

My 05 SV with full service history no crash damage and 21,000 miles is worth about £1500 in PX value apparantly, A bit more for a private sale, but no one buys a bike with milage like ours.

That sounds too low.

I'm with FS on this. A year old bike (maybe 18months) with 21k on the clock. Hmmm.

I'll be selling mine for scrap then Just commuting is 24k/year, and you're having a laugh if you think I'll only use her for commuting. Approx 2-3 months in and over 5k.

As for the original post, sorry, I'm a numpty, lets leave it at that.

Depends on whether you need a high or low valuation for court I guess. If you need a low value, put down the PX value or even slightly less 'trade' value. f a high value (i.e. making a claim) then the cost of getting an 05 plated bike from a dealer.

Default Re: Value my bike.

I'd say the going rate would be about £2.2 - 2.4k, due to the damage and high mileage on a bike so new.

In that case, £200.

Someone is having a laugh...FYI...i wouldn't PX with this guy! what a rip!

I have not seen any written prices for 2005 bikes but check in autotrader and see what bikes are going for.

I would charge a premium for black though.

A low figure will do me fine.

The courts are going to fine me what they like anyway but you have to play the game, don't you?
