new fairings, HELP!

Dropped my bike in the wet twice!! in one day and scuffed up the fairings pretty bad thinking it's the perfect excuse for something new, I've heard rumours that you can get gsxr fairings to fit svs? if so can anyone point me in right direction on where i might acquire some? if not would be handy if anyone know where i can get the lowered fairing as they are the most damaged?

p.s i also grinded my exhaust out so will be needed a new one of those any ideas? . . . basically going to do a total overhaul, stip it down and rebuild so now is a chance for all the SV fans out there to come together a build the perfect SV (if there is such a thing)

i really want these pipes but can find them for the SV anywhere

also i am aiming to turn the SV into a sports bike rather than a street. .

I've not fitted GSXR fairings to an SV, but have done a couple of other types (aprilia rs250 was a nice one), it's all about fabrication and adaptation of fixings and brackets, I don't know of a "kit" for it, you either need the skills to do it yourself or know a man who can.

those pipes are the same as Sam has on her GSXR, sound nice, I've no idea where she got them but could ask if you're interested?

Ok cheers I will look into it and see how difficult a job it is , I've looked for laser gp pipes for the SV but they are twinned exhausts that come up either side of the bike, I've fallen in love with the one above, any chance of post the dims on here so I can see if there's a way to fit them to my bike? (I'm guessing the pipes wouldn't matter as long as it fitted as I'm not after performance boosts, still on my restricted license )

Sell the SV, get a Gixxer, its what you really want anyway.

The SV is a great bike - I love riding mine, but without spending the kind of cash that would buy you a Gixxer anyway, its not *really* a sportsbike.

It is brilliant at doing what it does tho.

True I am basically trying to turn it to a gixxer but the money for insurance is wayy to much last time I checked it was like £2000+ so I went for a fully faired SV as I didn't mind the looks, was going to do it up again and sell it after my first year of riding so I have 1 year ncb and hopefully buy a gixxer with the money. . . Any advice?

You want to check with insurance that they are ok with the mod .
If you can fabricate brackets then go for it.
If you have deep pockets go for the twin.shack option .
Exhaust. if you have the mony just get the pipe work fabricated to link.with cans.
Like enough it though to keep it as your unlikely to.see your outlay back
