Default Crashed, where do i buy new bits?

Just crashed my 3 day old sv650sk6! Totally gutted!! Dont really know what happened was slowing down gently towards a roundabout and bike went from under meas i started to turn!! Looks like the lower fairing as come free and got involved with my forks and put me down as i was turning left.

To the point i need new indicator, cluth lever, gear lever, mirror and bar ends. Any idea cheapest/best place to get this stuff?

Ooh yeah need lower fairing replaced repaired!!

Any ideas?

New tyres, bit of grease on road? Too much lean at slow speed - the twin engine has a load of braking. All too easily done - but at least you ain't hurt

I find these geezers pretty good

If you got it from a dealer, that's where I'd be getting my new bits from.

And they'd be paying.

cant prove the fairing caused it cos they'll say it moved because of the crash

Everybody has one, Hun................I've had three and I wasn't even riding

Were you changing down at the time, and do you think maybe the back wheel locked up on you? A common occurence until you get used to the V twin engine braking.

Giving up after just one little accident? what talk is that! dropping the bike is unfortunately a part of biking, if it never happens then obviously you aren't trying hard enough

Cheapest place is often ebay, I would start there.

Don't worry, these things happen. I dropped my SV almost every time I got on it when I first got it!

Sorry to hear about your spill. At least you're OK.

Right I'm gonna make a few assumptions here.

First I think you can discount the fairing falling off as the bike is brand new.

I'm guessing that the rear locked up as you down changed. Do you "blip" the throttle to minimise the engine braking? Plus the standard tyres are not very grippy when worn and yours had only 350 gentle miles, so possibly not at optimum grip anyway.

This is a case for riding with a buddy who either might have seen the off and told you the problem or, preferably, given you some pointers so that it never happened.

As I say this is all assumption, so feel free to ignore it all.
