hey guys, the SV 650 is one of the bikes I'm looking into getting when I pass my test (33bhp restricted) this summer.
because I'm only 17 with a part time job I'm gonna struggle to collect my funds together. especially as my 125 is only gonna bring me around £500! Could you advise me as to what year/condition I could expect to get for £1000 - (very maximum) £1500 Cheers |

My 2000 model was 1500 and is fairly clean with some nice extras on
![]() It didnt take as long as I thought to find a decent one in the local area for my budget, must have been fate. ![]() |

I was 17 when i brought my sv, i did the 0% finance option and got a new one. Depending on how well you part time job pays you could do that. I pay £150 a month for mine, i only pay £150 though because that includes the first 7 services. With your 125 sold as deposit though that would get it down a little. Worth a thought if possible, atleast then you havent got to think about services or an mot. And you have a brand spanking new bike!!

do I go to a dealer for this 0% finance option?
it's worth considering I suppose. £100 a month is just under half my monthly wages. have alot of you taken this option? hows it worked for you in the long run? i guess it saves money on MOT and servicing and parts. its just im sorta spendin my wages before i get em cheers 4 any help guys |

also, what happens if theres a problem with the bike while I'm still paying for it? presumably its covered by manufacturers warranty for a while, so would I have to take it to my suzuki dealer who would fix it for free?
I don't wanna buy a new bike, have a problem with it, then still be paying £100+ a month for a bike that doesnt work. or having to pay for the repair myself. cheers |

has a 2 year warranty. but you will have 4000mile services at £120-£200 a go. If your spending half your wages on the bike alone i'd just get a cheap run around. Take your test on the 125 and give it two years to get a bit of a NCB. I gather you haven't had any insurance quotes yet!
