Need help please-bike starts ok from cold,can go out on it,but seems to be once its heated up and i stop at a junction etc, the idle speed drops ,sounds as if its gonna cut out if I don't rev it,then the revs jump back up and the same happens again?anyone got ideas-was told it might be some timing retard thing

There are a number of reasons for a rough idle, but in this case I think you may have a sticky choke - most likely the front one.
