Default Goodbye to my SV in 1 week

I'm buying a 2006 K6 GSXR 600 and taking delivery next Saturday

My SV has been superb and I have loved every minute of owning and riding it.
However, I need a new tyre and it needs a service very soon. This will equate to a min of ?250 so I'd rather spend it on a bike I'm going to keep for 2+ years and so I've chosen a Gixer 600.

Now I need to flog off my radiator grill, screen and pod (candy blue) from my SV650 K6 naked.

Congrats, any pics, how much did you get it for in the end? Was the SV p/x'd?

Thanks muffles

I let my brother test ride it as he has many years of experience of riding and fixing bikes. He says it goes like a bat out of hell (not as fast as his 1000cc though )

Getting it from Castles (Castleford) for a little over ?5k with 5k mls. Got the restrictor kit foc (?200 saving)

One previous owner and she works in the dealers, so I have the full info on it.

It has a cat 1 alarm and the tyres etc are superb.

Cant wait to ride her for myself

It looks and sounds awesome

Looks nice - make sure you get the pillion seat with it too (comes with both seat and cowl as new, it's not an optional extra). Tail tidy - good essential item there too

Cheers, the seat is in the shop.

I'm sure I'll feel like a beginner when I get it (was hoping to collect it early in the morning but its gonna be later in the afternoon) and feel self-conscious. However, I'll soon get used to it.

The thing even has a display built into the clocks showing the gear you are in!!

I am sure I will miss the SV and its super sounding engine and grunt but this is the sort of bike I just yearn for

so because you SV needs a service you spend ?5k on another bike, yeah right, well one way of getting fresh oil I suppose

That oil is so expensive and the mess it makes changing it!!

I did p/x the bike and actually had some equity towards the replacement. Using some savings means I don't pay those greedy banks interest too
