Gear lever question

I'm trying to replace the gear lever on my SK3. The replacement lever I have, the one which wemoto sells for an SK3, seems to be the one which pivots at the footrest, whereas my footrest assembly has a much shorter lever which pivots in front and below the footrest. I've gathered that they changed the lever roughly around the time my bike was made, so I'm wondering if it's likely that I need the replacement part wemoto sell for the SK4/SK5 instead.

Failing an answer to the above, if anyone can recommend a good suzuki place in cambridge I'll bring my broken bit there and order whatever I need through them.
