![]() So think I would still find plenty of ways of burning myself. Plus the disc brakes was at traffic lights ![]() |

Interestingly the same thing happened to me last night. Riding home in somewhat undesireable wet conditions i got about 2odd miles from home when My SK1 started to stuggle a bit at idle at the lights, this got worse and worse as i pulled away and in the end i think my front cylinder stopped firing altogether (with the exception of the occassional surge). I stopped and checked all the obvious - oil, coolant etc even adjusted my clutch lever which just happened to be a bit loose, but still the power loss.
I've bought some replacement plugs which i'll swap over this weekend but has anyone got any knowledge of what else i should do in addition to replacing the plugs? Seems this isnt an uncommon issue with the SV's Cheers all dmnz. |

Hmm, the front spark plug can get wet in damp conditions and cause this, some say its a major problem, I say ensure your plug cap is in place properly and lubed and there is no issue. I'd had problems once, riding all year round in every weather condition for about 26k on the SV and that was just after I'd swapped plugs, I popped the cap off again, cleaned it up, greased it and popped it back on. Didn't have another issue.

Grease/lube around the cap, should have issues no more. |

Nope, don't know what's in the clocks that the bike relies on, but it won't go without it. Cost me a lot of head scratching as to why I couldn't start the bike first time I had the nose off, so I plugged the clocks back in to see if there were any warning lights or errors on the LCD screen, and away it went first press of the button, nothing wrong with it.
