Oil level is sitting half way between F and E so thats fine, the 'neutral shuffle' doesnt seem to work as I did already try that.

Been busy this week so havent tried tightening anything up, will do this at the weekend and give an update, thanks for all the info chaps, much appreciated!

Try giving the throttle a little blip of revs as you coax it gently up from first.

Stuuk1, sounds like the same as mine, how long you owned the bike and how much was it ridden before you had it, cause my problem was the last owner didn't ride much and because i do, the cable simply stretches with use and heat and everything so it just needs readjusting

Ive only owned the bike for say 6 months, bought the bike on a 52 plate with 6.5k on the clock (which proves your theory).

Well that makes sense then, Ive learned something at last!

haha, yeah don't do what i do and blame it on your shifts cause it's nothing to do with oyu, it's just the cable is adjusting to use. i had to do mine twice before it stopped so you might need to do it once more but mainly just adjust the top tension when it gets slack.
