Fuel Light works fine since I helped him rewire the bike the other month - and his soldering is much better.

When I said helped I mean I held the wires together once he selected the ones to join and then applied the solder the heat shrink

But I DID introduce him to the concept of tinning the wires

perhaps not then

how you'd wire up the gear position sensor i don't know, unless it works like the aftermarket ones on the basis of revs and road speed, it would annoy me insecently if it didn't work...

There may be extra fiddly bits on the Gladiolas engine I guess.

I try to do that, if we are talking about the same thing, but the wires I look at never take a solder cus they are so corroded.

That I can't believe, they have detuned it yeah but I am sure it has many of the same components inside. It is a aimed at novices, funnily enough so is the SV, and it has the same performance specs according to Suzuki. It is still a budget bike so do not expect fancy brakes and suspension.

The Gladius is running alongside the SV650S and SV650N for 2009, if it proves popular could it become the only 650 V-twin in the range for 2010???

It is doing it the other way around that causes problems.

Apparently they're not importing any more SV-Ns into the US. Not a great shock there, it was always a poor seller but I wouldn't be surprised to see that happen here as well once the new bike is out.
