Just out of curiosity why would you want to just lower the front?

Quicken up steering, also with a well set up front end it adds a bit more feel. You will need to fit new springs and oil to suit you before you do this.

Hi
Is anyone able to advise how much lowering front by 10mm (assume forks/yokes only) and using the 40mm drop dog bones wil lower the seat height itself ?? I am considering a new naked sv650, want to not be tottering on my tip toes for a change!
Thanks
Jenny

I'm afraid I don't have the answer for you. On top of lowering of the bike you can also get the seat lowered by taking out some of the foam, you can take out quite a bit. Or buy a new lowered seat directly from Suzuki.

After having ridden my bike for 6 months I have also raised the handlebars using bar risers (naked SV) this makes it easier for shorter people and you can touch the floor even better.

As long as you lower front and rear together you won't have a real problem with the suspension, problem comes when you lower the front only as you put more weight on the poorly sprung front end.

I would advise on a better cut seat first though.
