Its fitted as on Nobbylad's schematics (apart from the stock horn) with a 15A fuse and the relay that came with the Stebel, what wondered me was why does the stebel work fine on its own (with my last fuse ) and blows the fuse with the standard one.
Is it possible that the Nautilus uses just under 15A and together the horns use more then 15A?

Hmmm....works fine on mine, but then again, I got the Sebel because the stock horn stops working after around 10mins riding 'cos it gets too hot. I should have relocated it today when I had the lowers off fitting my crash bungs but I was in enough trouble for spending ages on the bike putting the new screen and scott oiler on.

Maybe there's something else up with your wiring, but if you've got the Sebel fitted, you don't really need the stock horn anyway.

That there will be a faulty relay leaking current across the wrong contacts. Change the relay & I reckon your problem will go away.

In the diagram above (kindly provided by Nobbylad), the extra load on the fuse will be minimal at best.

Got a new relay from Maplins, more fuses and some proper wire.
Result? It's not blowing fuses any more but the stock horn still doesn't work
Oh well, at least I got the correct wire this time and the relay is in a waterproof place...

To be honest, I wouldn't know if my stock horn still works, what with the nautilus 'n all!

All I know is that before I fitted the nautilus, the stock horn stopped working after about 20 mins riding, the dealer said there was nothing wrong with it when it went in for it's 1st service, but then he would say that as it would have been cold when he tried it.

Now I have fitted the nautilus I can MAKE people know I'm there at the push of a button.

I have the stock horn, two Stebel Magnums, and two FIAMM Marine airhorns. I shall be heard!

dyziowg, the Nautilus is a two-tone horn, and the lower frequency is pretty close to the stock horn (Nautilus is 530Hz, and IIRC, the stock is 500Hz). Test that the stock horn works by unplugging one of the cables on the nautilus. If the stock horn still sounds, use a longer bit of wire from the nautilus to the ground connection. That should sort you out.

The theory behind it is that the two sound frequencies can cancel each other out if they happen to be exactly opposite each other at any point in time. To sort this out, make the electrons take longer to get through the horn & complete a circuit, and the phase of the sounds will be slightly offset.

Get it right and you should experience frequency beats - although rather a dim example of it. In other words, your horn will sound like it's almost constantly changing pitch - but rather slowly in your case.

It happens with the stock & one of the marine airhorns I have... but you have to hold the button a while, and by that time, most people have gone deaf.

Excuse me... but how long is this wire? A couple of miles, I think the distance between 2 electrons traveling over a couple of inches of wire is not going to help. Is more likely that its either 2 much load so one does not work, so do they all have there own supply or just using one. Or simply the stock does not work.
