Turns out the brutalised baffle is attached inside the end... Do not succumb to peer pressure people. What stupid design as well! Knew I should have waited til tomorra, shiit like this always happens on a Monday!

The end isn't riveted on, it's pushed in with a rubber sealing band round the edge, managed to get the end cap out about a 1cm at the bottom but the top is stuck solid.

just found a post from hovis years ago saying micron can's are a bitch to do might just push it all back together and ride around with a fcked baffle..

i found another thread on the internet http://www.gixxer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=255211 looks liek there might be a small weld at the lip, preventing the baffle coming out if the screw was to fall out

cheers Job mate, really appreciate you having a look for me without me even asking. Just found these stubby can's on ebay for £109 but after firing the SRAD up without a can on it, if the super stubby was even half as loud as no can, it'll be too loud. Really tempted though
