Default R6 throttle tube. What? again, you may ask, oh yes indeedy, AGAIN.

how is this done and what should i expect to gain from it , will it be shorter travel from open to closed? do i need complete i.e hand grip too? also is the r6 master cylinder worth going for as well and will i need to upgrade my current hel lines to fit this cylinder?

Well I haven't fitted one yet, so I stand to be corrected here. But here’s how I think it works. The cable sits in a grove of the SV throttle tube which when you twist the throttle winds the throttle cable round the throttle tube.

To achieve full open throttle you have to twist the throttle about 1/5th of a full turn with the SV throttle tube.

The R6 tube is fatter, for want of a better description, so the cable wraps round more surface area for any given amount of travel. In this case achieving full throttle in approx 1/4 of a turn.

Think wrapping string round a 1p and then a 2p. The amount of string need to wrap round a 1p completely will never be enough to wrap round a 2p completely.

1/4 of a mile or 1/5 of a mile. Which is longer?
