• As the SV is a relatively low power bike, does this mean i'll generally be the slowest?
  At Brands, no. Brands Indy is a great circuit for the SV as its all twisty turney stuff with only 1 long straight. You wont be getting lapped or anything like that but i suspect you wont be up with the front runners either. Anyway its not a race so there is no position you need to finsih in except shiney side up

  'Kentagon' restaurant and 'fast food' type shops there but food at Brands is diabolical imho and aint cheap either. Saying that i normally get pertol station sandwiches on way in there as they're just as bad as whats sold there but generally cheaper, lol. Last time i was there tho i ended up buying a burger and chips etc cos it was a bit cold and i needed something to warm me up a bit. D'oh!

Even better take them off your bike all together. Just concentrate on making the apex and getting through the corner smoothly. The person overtaking from behind should be responsible enough to get by safely... It is not your concern what is going on behind you. So your full concentration needs to be on the corner ahead, braking points, turn in points, apexs and most importantly the exit.

thats good advice, they will do nothing other than distract you from what you should be looking at. Also think about blanking your speedo with a bit of masking tape for the same reason.

Concentrate on where you are going and you cant go far wrong. A faster rider wanting to pass has the responsibility to avoid you and you'll make their task alot easier if you are predictable. If you are peeking in your mirrors trying to second guess then you'll very likely get hit or run out of track.

Do the track charge you for recovery to the exit for example?

Is there an area to leave ya stuff, if you rode there with a back pack for example, don't wanna take that out with you?

My bike had a full service about a month or so ago, is it advisable to do it again just after or....?

Is it necessary to do things like removing number plates, indicators, taping headlights etc?

Yes to pretty much all of the above but dunno about the track recovery bit tbh as i've not binned my bike on track and have absolutely no plans to either lol.

Tape up lights and clocks is required as is mirror removal. Your pit area is where you can leave your stuff but of course be aware that you wont know everyone in the pit garage so what you feel comfu leaving there is up to you. Bags and the like are no problem imho but wallet or cash may not be a good idea

Service wise i think you'll be fine mate. remember its a chance to take your time to build up pace and confiden and learn a few hings about your bike and you in the process.

Dont think so but you want to be pretty careful messing with the insurance companies with this kind of trick, they arent daft.

Not really no but if they remove fairly easily then I would. If you do bin it then its just less to replace. Some track day orgs require that you tape up lights to prevent glass from going everywhere in a crash, check the joining instructions.
