Thank you everyone. It's just such a shock. He was only 5 years older than me. He was the sort of bloke it's impossible to dislike. He never had a bad word to say about anyone, not even when Anne reversed into his car and the front bumper fell off and I teased him for driving a Dagenham Dustbin. Just makes me realise that life is for living. So go fishing and so what if people complain, they can **** off. He collapsed at home Monday, and died in hospital Tuesday evening, never regained consciousness. Crap. Anne and I will miss him.

I have a slight understanding how you're feeling ed, live for yourself don't care what others think. About 10 months ago my 20 year old cousin was hit by a car and killed instantly, she lived life to the fullest bless her but it definitely made me think about my life. Not sure if much has changed though

So to hear about your loss Ed. When you lose a friend or a loved one it makes you realise just how fragile life can be. We all need friends and loved ones. We should look after them and let them know how important they are to us. Take care mate.

Ed, I've had two cousins die very young in life and the first was when she and I were just 14 and from the night we got that dreaded phone call, I have never looked back.

53 is just too young and his family and friends, like you will no doubt find this terrible loss impossible to comprehend.

My thoughts are with you, your family and his family and I hope you can remember many more moments when Will made you smile like I'm sure he did with the broken bumper! Memories are all we're left with, but so long as they always make us smile, we can always keep that person with us in our own little way.

I wish you the best for next Friday and I hope you can all give Will the send off I'm sure he deserves!
