Probably not much, but it's not broken - it's just that the grip isn't stuck to it! The adhesive would surely come with a new grip, not a new throttle tube lol...

I used araldite when I fitted my heated grips last october. Hasn't come off yet - although the heated grips do have a rigid plastic tube on the inside, and standard grips don't.

I'd be tempted to take off the throttle tube and drizzle some superglue down there.

I figured the araldite basically was that...is superglue a lot less brittle when dry? I confess to not playing about with superglue much

Superglue isn't the same as araldite. Superglue is very liquid and will run between 2 surfaces by capillary action - it also will penetrate the surface of things like rubber and should stick it pretty well. It does go brittle when dry but it relies on surface to surface contact so this shouldn't be an issue. Don't get it on your fingers though cos it dries really fast and can stick your hands together, or to whatever you're trying to glue. I speak from experience

If it doesn't work, you're no worse off than when you started. It does sound like your grip might have softened and this could be causing the problems - so perhaps a new grip might be the way to go?

Hmm good point, I didn't think that perhaps it's not meant to twist like that lol...
