I`m happy to take part in a rideout wherever the majority of peeps want to go. For me it`s just about getting out there and riding and meeting up with friends again and having a great day.

National speed limit is only 10mph faster, or am I just being a bit stupid? People used to like the Cat because when it was a 60 limit, it was a good place to learn how to corner at speed (& in some cases lose your life). I certainly wont knock the road, it beats the **** out of doing warp factor 3 on a straight any day of the week.

+1 its a lovely twisty road to build up confidence on bends on just got to ignore some of the crotch rockets that think its a race track. Where are you thinking of starting from?

A 50 limit puts you in court or at risk of a ban sooner.

Fixed penalty ticket territory up to 86mph in a national speed limit area if the ACPO guideline is adhered to (which is 94 on a pointy's digital speedo), so you don't have to worry too much in your A to B riding (yep, really silly moments excepted!), so long as you don't have 9 points already.

In a 50 limit that's down to 76. It's easy to creep up to 80mph on an A road on a bike, so I find I need to be watching my speed all the time.
