less resistance that could be why, have you replaced it.

Well no, as it cannot be replaced the air filter is a strange long circle thing, and i went down to 1 dealer of sachs scooters and one auto motive place, they both said scrap the bike
 so in the end i glued it!Well good news the bike is now working to a certain standard, ow and there was a huge whole in the pipe linking the two cylinders, so sealed that  , god so many problems

A hole in the balance pipe would explain it.
