Is the ticking speed related, or engine rev related, ie: does it do it when you are stationery?

Rev related, the garage said it looked fine, the only other noise it's making that is speed related in lower speeds is like a whining noise coming from the front wheel that occurs in low speeds, like a winching noise.. I read online it may be related to the speedo sensor on the front axel.....

A ticking/rattle from the timing chain is not uncommon but I can't think why it would just start because the bike has been on it's side. Pointys have a fuel cut off sensor that stops the engine when it goes over so it's not going to be a case of oil starvation, and if you've bashed in the clutch cover enough for it to be touching something inside you would have a hole with oil coming out......

Are you sure the ticking wasn't there beforehand and you're just noticed it now?

dude! I feel your pain!
I rode around with a broken rear brake for ages, just bolted on a metal bracket until I replace the whole brake, plate unit I think it cost me about £40 and about 30mins of faffing about.
I have some battle scars that I will be tending too soon, just minor scratches really....
