Hiya and welcome
I have no hearing in left and only 20% in right ear and i ride without hearing aid that i use in my right ear so i am pretty much deaf but can still hear the growl of the CC un baffled can

I did the test 2 years ago after finding a way to do the lessons and test without radio gear. I have to be more alert on the road of course but that is no bad thing. No reason why you should not get a bike licence

HIYA MISS

Good to see you on here.

Lissa, my other half, is a frustrated pillion. She's too short to ride a bike realistically, plus it's the finance issue as well, but she feels really involved being on the back anyway. I would worry that your deafness might actually be a safety issue as many potential bike problems are first noticed when something starts to wear or has loosened off and "sounds wrong", although maybe a secondary sign would be a change in the vibration of the bike which you might pick up on.

Anyway hope to meet you and your other half sometime. Maybe the Ace?

Pete

Cheers Mark.
Well my hearing-aid basically amplifies the little hearing i have. For example, i cant hear high-frequency sounds so they have been tuned to amplify them. If i dont have my hearing aids in though, i cant hear anything really - maybe a few deep sounds if i am lucky. However, it has the great advantage of having a good nights sleep all the time without fail while matt has to stay awake and listen to the rain/wind/whatever happens to be going on outside
