a cover will keep out a shower but riding for hours in driving rain and you risk something getting wet. If you need it dry i would get a dry sack. You can get these for about a fiver from sports direct (and others) so are worth it imo

Hmmm yes good point, think I will get a tank bag, kit it out with foam, waterproofing and a dry sack for the camera it's self, then some another dry sack for over the tank bag maybe.

You are right about the cost though, it is a little steep but I look at it the same way as all my kit, you do get what you pay for.
Yep mines definitely waterproof. The top pockets aren't on the US's
They are good but if they £10-20 cheaper they'd be worth it

I thought KTM's surrendered at 3 inches.
TBH at AR the bag was the driest of my gear

Easiest would be a peli case inside tank bag, more waterproof than anything, tough, got foam in anyway.

Peli cases come in a huge range of sizes, are waterproof, and come with foam. The only downside is that they're expensive, a 1400 with foam is around £100.

If you want a wider search, look for Fjiord light and lazer leveling cases as they are waterproof and very hard wearing
